ABOUT artist YIN LUM
Yin's art is inspired by the beauty of flowers, forests, sun, sea and the mystical Chinese Dragons.
She enjoys sculpting textures in modeling paste and using strong bright colors to create vibrant art.
Yin's colorful acrylic art was featured in her own episode of 30-minute art documentary (Singapore Media Corp Art Central TV) in 2007. In the show, Yin traveled around tropical Bintan Island (Indonesia) to search for inspirations from the sun, sea, sand and pineapple plantations. Her mix-media art creation process was filmed as she created three art pieces using the shells and rocks from the island.
Yin was born in Singapore and currently creates art from her artist studio in Central Singapore.
Yin speaks fluent English, Chinese, Cantonese and attended 1-year of beginners' French.
While making art, she is fueled by chill-out music, jazz, violin music, cafe mocha and the sugar from sweet creamy cakes.
In parallel, she works as a 24x7 human slave of her forever hungry orange tabby studio-cat named "Peanut".
